This course will introduced you to the basic skills of scrapbooking; embellishments, layouts, color, text, and journaling. You will learn to use scrapbooking tools; stamps, cutters, electronic cutters... If you already are a scrapbooker you are more than welcome to attend. You can use this time to meet like minded people, share ideas, and work on your own projects. |

Beginning Sewing

This beginning sewing course will teach you; how to sew using a portable sew machine, how to choose a pattern, how to cut from a pattern, how to choose fabric, and how to assemble the finished product. Once you master the technique of using the machine, you can begin a project of your choice, with the guidance of Mrs. Durham. There are some machines available but if you have your own, please bring it with you. |

Literacy for Parents

For parents of pre-school and elementary age children who wish to learn how to help their child become a competent reader. You will learn practical ways to help your children be successful in school or be prepared to enter school. Ms. Hubbard will advise parents on what books to read, how to read to them and what questions to ask. This course will prove to be invaluable to parents. |

This course, taught by our high school Spanish Teacher, is an introduction to Spanish. You do not need to have any prior experience with the language but if you took last year’s “Survival Spanish” you will enjoy this course. You will learn the basics of the Spanish Language; pronunciation, vocabulary, gender, the conjugation of verbs and beginning conversations. |

Beaded Jewelry

This course is for beginners and for those who like to get together to bead. Learn to make your own beaded jewelry and other accessories. You will leave the course with at least one necklace, one bracelet, and a beaded bookmark. You will learn to use glass beads and natural beads with wire, elastic, and cording. This course promises to be a great creative outlet and fun for all. |

Latin Dance

This course, taught by our high school Spanish Teacher, is an introduction to Latin Dance. You do not need any prior Latin dance experience. There is no need to bring a partner because we will be rotating partners. In this class we will learn steps from Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, and Cumbia. This will be light exercise. Women should wear flat shoes or heels but sneakers are not recommended. Men can wear any type of shoe. |
